From graves to the vibrant world, I go with them…

In this digital world, it was and always is important for me to keep connected with so many friends across the world, communities and cultures because the internet made it easy.  In addition, electronic and digital ways of keeping memories and archives offer a lot of guarantee and longtime safety.

Since two or more decades now, at the introduction of internet and the progress of ICT in the world, I was very happy and excited to use and welcome all the technologies facilities,  functions and devices.  Life became easy for everyone especially in improving the communications.  Slowly and slowly, long distance correspondence with mails and post offices were replaced by emails and instant chat messages through all kind of social media platforms.  I will go and mention a few of them, messengers, Facebook. Twitter, Instagram, snapchats, Tik Tok etc. These exchanges made it easy for people to reconnect wherever they may be.  Distance relationships, online meetings, finding again longtime friends with no see no heard…all that became possible because of the invention and use of internet.

Internet based archiving was also introduced and people should access to the filed documents and folders online from wherever they are and for long time.  There was no more fear of destruction of papers and physical tiles of papers and documents.  We had time to scan and save old family photos and important documents such as degrees and diplomas, properties documents etc.…Then came also the huge online searching tools such as Google, Wikipedia, etc…

Back to the Genocide against the Tutsi and the work of preserving the memories of our parents, families and people innocently killed, my dream project of publishing the book was equally motivated by the idea of taking them to the world, sharing their stories of love and hope, their courage and determination, sharing their dreams and their brutal and cruel deaths, their last words and wishes etc.…I thought that their lives may inspire many others in the world, their love may inspire their grandchildren  and great grandchildren even if they will not be there to cherish them.

Putting together their names in a book, the memories of laughter we share on a page of paper, listing all their names would now be online, saved and making them IMMORTAL.  Not forgetting that the e-book also offers a way of reading.  That is why, I also planned to translate the book into different languages and allowing its virtual presence. I also decided to go and present it in many areas such as Germany, Kenya, Canada, United States of America, Austria, Zimbabwe, France, The Central African Republic, Belgium, etc…You can imagine how emotional and tiring this experience can be, but believe me, it is rewarding for me to take them around with me, to talk about my parents, siblings, relatives, friends and neighbors and I always believe that, they are the ones who give me the strength and courage to stand up, to keep going and to never give up.  I indeed “DO NOT ACCEPT TO DIE” for their lives to continue shinning and inspiring our nation, our future and the entire humanity.

From the kids to the elder, the ordinary citizens and very important persons, heads of states, ambassadors,…everyone who buys and reads the book, every person I meet and I talk about my life, my book…deep inside, I feel happy that I am winning, my goal is made. He/She will come across with Them…
